What is Clearing?

Clearing is a university application service available between July and September. It enables students to find and apply to universities which still have places available on specific courses.

For further information see the UCAS Clearing website.

When is Clearing?

Clearing opens on Monday 6 July 2020 for those who have already had exam results or who have not accepted any offers.

You can apply through Clearing after receiving A-level results on Thursday 13 August 2020. Clearing closes on Tuesday 20 October 2020.

I'm not registered with UCAS, can I apply?

You do do have to be registered with UCAS to apply to us.

If you are not registered with UCAS you can apply to Marjon using our Apply Direct service.

I have not applied to Marjon, do you have any vacancies?

We anticipate having vacancies in some of our subjects. If you are looking for courses available in Clearing please check the UCAS website or call us – we are here to help. You do not need to have applied to Marjon already.

If you are holding an offer from another university, you will need to be released into Clearing by that institution. Please email us on with any queries about applying to Marjon.

What details do I need if I call the University?

For data protection reasons, the University is unable to discuss your situation with you unless you can provide us your UCAS Personal ID. This will allow us to identify your application and ensure that we are talking to the correct person.

We generally prefer to talk to you personally, but do accept that this is not always possible, and in some cases you might have asked your parents or another third party to ring on your behalf In these cases,

the person will need to be the nominated contact you have registered with UCAS and we will ask for other details as well as your UCAS Personal ID.

We will take your details and speak to the course tutor and Admissions Officer to confirm whether we can make you an offer.

Please help us to help you by having all your relevant information to hand before you call.

I received a Clearing offer from you. What should I do next?

If we have made you a Clearing offer we will call you back to confirm this. Once Track opens, you will then be able to add your Clearing choice.

You will need to log on to your UCAS Track account and click on the 'Add Clearing choice' button and enter the course  and institution code (P63).

Will I get accommodation on campus?

Accommodation is guaranteed for undergraduate first year students to help you settle into university life. Some conditions apply.

Once your place at Marjon has been confirmed, you will be able to make accommodation arrangements.
