You'll be able to find out about every aspect of student life at Marjon during the day, including your course of interest, the application process, our accommodation and our Student Union.

We'll send you all the information you'll need after you book, but you might want to check out our key Open Day information below. If you have questions that we haven't answered here then please email visitus@marjon.ac.uk and we'll be happy to help.

Do I need to book?

Yes, we ask for all visitors to book onto an open day to ensure that you receive all of the relevant information you need leading up to the event.

However, if your visit is more spur-of-the-moment, you’re welcome to come along and register on the day.

What are the times for the Open Day?

The day is programmed to start at 09:30 and end at 15:00, but normally people start to turn up from about 08:30 so that they can grab a drink have a look around campus while it is a bit quieter.

The day is completely flexible, and you can arrive and leave when you like. We recommend that you read your programme, sent to you in the week leading up to te Open Day, and plan around the course talks that you are interested in attending.

Do I need to check-in on the day?

On arrival, please collect your goody bag and register at the registration point in the Main Reception.

The registration team will talk you through the programme for the day and answer any questions you may have.

Can I bring someone with me?

You are more than welcome to bring family and/or friends with you – it’s great to share observations and hear other people’s opinions. You and your supporters don’t have to do the same activities. We have a talk specifically for your supporters at 11:15-12:00 where they can have a coffee, learn about how they can support you and they can ask any questions that they have.

We have a talk specifically for your supporters at 11:15-12:00 where they can have a coffee, learn about how they can support you and they can ask any questions that they have. Additionally, service or therapy dogs are welcome on campus, but please let us know if you intend to bring one to the Open Day.

Can I park on campus?

Parking is limited on campus, so we recommend using The George Park and Ride, a short bus journey away from campus.

We have free disabled parking on campus for those who have a blue badge.

I've registered, but haven't received any emails.

Make sure to check your junk or spam inbox. Sometimes our emails end up there, unfortunately.

If you can't find anything, get in touch with us by emailing visitus@marjon.ac.uk.

When will I receive the programme for the day?

We'll be sending out the programme in the lead up to the event, so you'll know in advance when everything is taking place.

We'll be sending a digital version of the programme around 5-7 days before the Open Day, and you'll receive a physical copy on the day.

Can I book a Campus Tour in advance?

You'll be invited to book a Campus Tour in the week leading up to the event. You'll emailed a link to book your tour. Our tours will be taking place throughout the day, and include dedicated tours of our Sports Labs, alongside our general campus tours.

You're also welcome to take a Self-Guided Campus Tour, using our booklet. Please ask for one of these on the day and we'll happily provide one. Our “Open Houses” during the Open Day are self-guided. Some of our students open up their flats and houses to visitors to come into their halls and houses, have a look around and ask questions about Marjon and our accommodation offer.

Can I see the student accommodation?

Some of our students will be opening their flats to let you see the type of living spaces we have available. You can pop in and take a look at any time between 09:30 and 15:00.

Our Resident Support Assistants will be on hand to show you around, answer any questions you may have, and provide you with everything you need to know about living at Marjon.

Is there somewhere to eat on campus?

Our on-site restaurant, cafe, bar and shop offer a wide range of food and drink to eat in or takeaway. When you check-in, we’ll give you a lunch voucher to use in the Dining Hall so you can sample some of the food our students eat every day.

Complimentary tea and coffee will also be available throughout the day in the Dining Hall. If you have any concerns relating to dietary requirements, please get in touch - email visitus@marjon.ac.uk.

Do you have disabled access?

Disability access is available across the campus, please let us know if you need any help before or on arrival.

Blue Badge holders are permitted to park anywhere on campus as long as the Blue Badge is clearly displayed in the front windscreen.

Can I speak to Student Support or Admissions on the day?

Both our Student Support and Admissions team will be available to speak to on the day, in our Student Support Zone.

You'll also be able to speak to our Accommodation, Futures and Student Funding teams, and attend Student Life talks, throughout the day.
