You'll be able to find out about every aspect of student life at Marjon during the day, including your course of interest, the application process, our accommodation and our Student Union.

We'll send you all the information you'll need after you book, but you might want to check out our FAQs below. If you have questions that we haven't answered here then please email and we'll be happy to help.

What are the times for the Open Day?

The day is programmed to start at 09:30 and end at 15:00, but normally people start to turn up from about 08:30 so that they can grab a drink have a look around campus while it is a bit quieter.

Some events don’t run all day, like our Clubs and Societies Fair, so add that to your plan if you want to attend. Then book in your campus tour in the gaps around those key activities.  The other activities like the course fairs and open houses are flexible and run all day, so you can just drop into those when you are free.

How are you making the day safe?

We recommend that all visitors complete a Lateral Flow Test no more than 48 hours prior to the Open Day. Students and staff are requested to test twice a week to ensure our campus remains Covid Secure. We also request that all visitors wear masks when they are indoors, unless they are exempt.

We also request that you complete a Covid Health Declaration form, which we'll send to you before the day. If you have any concerns, please let us know by emailing

Where can I stay near campus and how do I get to campus?

If you're looking for somewhere to stay during your visit, you can take advantage of our exclusive deal with Future Inns, a short walk from our campus. Call 01752 701 000 and quote 'Marjon' to book a discounted double room for £80/night, which includes free cancellation and breakfast for one person.

Our partnership with GWR offers 20% off your rail travel to and from our Open Days. Follow this link or click the button below to purchase Advanced tickets, which can be combined with a railcard for even bigger savings. The postcode of our campus is PL6 8BH and you can see our location on the map below.

Can I get help with travel costs?

Students from certain schools and colleges in the South West may be able to apply for a Higher Education Travel Card from Next Steps South West, worth £40. You can find out if you are eligible and apply here.

You can also check out the question above for information about travel and hotel discounts, and it is also worth checking with your school/college and local JobCentre to see if you are entitled to any help with travel costs.

Who can I bring with me?

You can bring family and/or friends with you – it’s great to share observations and hear other people’s opinions. You and your supporters don’t have to do the same activities. We have a talk specifically for your supporters at 11:15-12:00 where they can have a coffee, learn about how they can support you and they can ask any questions that they have.

Just make sure that your guests take a lateral flow test before visiting campus and individually complete the Covid Declaration Form, which will be sent to you via email. Additionally, service or therapy dogs are welcome on campus, but please let us know if you intend to bring one to the Open Day.

Can I park on campus?

Parking is limited on campus, so we recommend using The George Park and Ride, a short bus journey away from campus. We'll be sending out free Park and Ride vouchers ahead of the event for you to use.

We will also be running free shuttle buses from Coypool/Marsh Mills (PL7 4TB) or Milehouse (PL2 3DA). We have free disabled parking on campus for those who are eligible.

I've registered, but haven't received any emails.

Make sure to check your junk or spam inbox. Sometimes our emails end up there, unfortunately.

If you can't find anything, get in touch with us by emailing

When will I receive the programme for the day?

We'll be sending out the programme in the lead up to the event, so you'll know in advance when everything is taking place.

We'll be sending a digital version of the programme around 5-7 days before the Open Day, and you'll receive a physical copy on the day.

Can I book a Campus Tour in advance?

You'll be invited to book a Campus Tour in the week leading up to the event. You'll emailed a link to book your tour. Our tours will be taking place throughout the day, and include dedicated tours of our Sports Labs, alongside our general campus tours.

You're also welcome to take a Self-Guided Campus Tour, using our booklet. Please ask for one of these on the day and we'll happily provide one.

Our “Open Houses” during the Open Day are self-guided. Some of our students open up their flats and houses to visitors to come into their halls and houses, have a look around and ask questions about Marjon and our accommodation offer. All you need to do drop into the advertised open houses on the day.

Can I speak to Student Support or Admissions on the day?

Both our Student Support and Admissions team will be available to speak to on the day, in our Student Support Zone.

You'll also be able to speak to our Accommodation, Futures and Student Funding teams, and attend Student Life talks, throughout the day.

I can't attend the Open Day, but want to find out more.

We're sorry that you can't attend, but there are loads of ways to find out more about Marjon.

You can visit us for a Campus Tour, take a virtual tour online, or speak to our students on Unibuddy. We're also happy to answer any questions you might have - email
