Graduation 2023: timings and format of ceremonies

Graduation will take place on Tuesday 24 & Wednesday 25 October (October half term) at The Minster Church of St Andrew, Royal Parade, Plymouth PL1 2AD. 

Tuesday 24 October

10:30 – 11:30     Ceremony 1        The School of Arts Humanities & Social Sciences

13:30 – 14:30     Ceremony 2        The School of Sport, Exercise & Rehabilitation

16:30 – 17:30     Ceremony 3        The School of Health & Wellbeing

 

Wednesday 25 October

10:30 – 11:30     Ceremony 4        The School of Education 

13:30 – 14:30     Ceremony 5        The School of Education (MTEP)     

Whilst we are confident graduation will take place please be mindful that we may have to make changes to adapt to any covid guidelines at the time.

Below are the timings of ceremonies. Please note: when you register you will be told which ceremony you will be attending.

Ceremony 1 & 4                                                        

• 09:00  Registration opens in the Lower Abbey Hall                  
• 09:30  North door opens - guests to be seated by 10:15
• 09:30  South door opens - graduands to be seated by 10:15          
• 10:30  Ceremony starts promptly                                        
• 11:30  Ceremony finishes              

Ceremony 2 & 5

• 12:00   Registration opens in the Lower Abbey Hall                  
• 12:30   North door opens - guests to be seated by 13:15
• 12:30   South door opens - graduands to be seated by 13:15        
• 13:30   Ceremony starts promptly                                       
• 14:30   Ceremony finishes                          

Ceremony 3 (Tuesday 24 October only)

• 15:00   Registration opens in the Lower Abbey Hall                
• 15:30   North door opens - guests to be seated by 16:15
• 15:30   South door opens - guests to be seated by 16:15          
• 16:30   Ceremony starts promptly                                       
• 17:30   Ceremony finishes
