Progression Agreement students

KS3_02

As a student at one of our partnered schools and colleges, there are a range of tools and support available to assist you in progression to Higher Education at Marjon.

To make things easier, we've outlined the key benefits available to you as a Progression Agreement student.

We take you at your word

It is important to us that we help you remove barriers to your application to university. As a result, we pledge that you will not be required to provide a UCAS reference to support your application to any of our non-interviewing courses.

A chance to shine

As a progression partnered student, you are guaranteed an interview to our professionally accrediting courses - giving you a leg-up on the competition.

If you apply for courses like OsteopathySpeech and Language Therapy or Teacher Training, you will be invited to Marjon for an interview with a course academic, as long as you meet the minimum entry requirements.

Our Outreach team are there for you

From UCAS support to our Summer Schools, the Marjon Outreach team is available year-round to help you achieve your aspirations.

As a student at a partnered institution, you are eligible for additional assistance throughout the year, with application support, personal statement workshops and bespoke budgeting sessions available. Your school can book an event with our friendly Outreach team by getting in touch using the contact details below.

In addition, you are eligible for one of a number of reserved spaces at our Year 12 Summer School, which takes place on campus every summer, absolutely free of charge. Visit the Summer School webpage for more information.

A helping hand

We want you to have the best possible chance of achieving your dream career.

As such, we are committed to offering you a reduced UCAS tariff on your course of choice*, set at least one grade lower than the advertised requirements.

Let's take Sport and Exercise Science as an example. The course is advertised at CCC (A-Level) or MMM (BTEC), but, for a progression partnered student, the offer would be reduced to CCD, or MMP. In the case of Access to HE students, an offer will be made at three merit/distinction credits below the advertised entry requirements.

You don't need to do anything to trigger this - once Marjon receives your application, our Admissions team will adjust your offer accordingly.
